2016 Grassroots Clinic

Coaches and Gymnasts,

I am happy to invite you to the 2016 Grassroots Clinic hosted at TAGS of Apple Valley. This is a special clinic that the State of Minnesota offers to the top compulsory gymnasts from the 2016 State Championships. All coaches and judges are invited to attend. For those qualified gymnasts the day will be an educational experience few get to experience. The format is modeled after the National Future Stars Athlete Workshop. It will be a chance for these talented young athletes to work out with their peers without the stress of competition. Also, it will be a chance for some of the best coaches in Minnesota to help develop these potential future regional team members. For attending coaches and judges the day will be an all–in-one clinical experience. You can choose to rotate around with your gymnast(s) or pick particular demonstrations/demonstrators that you would like to observe. By doing so this opens the door to see how other gyms train and helps facilitate communication between coaches for the transfer of knowledge. There is no cost for the clinic itself. It is free to both the athletes invited and the athletes attending.

Thank you and see you on November 20th.

2015 Regional Future Stars testing and Regional Clinic

Thank you to Dale Bullivant and North Shore Gymnastics for hosting the 2015 Regional Future Stars testing and Regional Clinic. We had record number of athletes attend both events. There were 150 athletes from four different states partaking in this year’s clinic. A special thanks also goes to CJ Maestas from the USOTC for being the guest athlete of this event and to Andrei Kan of Swiss Turners Gymnastics for being the Master Clinician. The weekend was also highlighted by Coach Burns and his University of Minnesota Athletes there working with those Junior athletes.
